Handling decisions are made with the people responsible for the collection. We work alongside your curators and conservators, condition-report objects before and after the move, and build bespoke protective cases for items that need them. Objects and artefacts are handled through our museum and heritage relocation service, and books, records and archives through our library relocation service, so each type is moved by people who understand it.
Cultural buildings come with their own constraints: narrow access, protected fabric, public opening hours and strict rules on what can be touched. We survey the building as carefully as the collection, protect floors, doorways and fixtures, and work in phases or out of hours so galleries and reading rooms can stay open where possible.
Yes. Curators and conservators are involved from the survey onwards, and handling and packing decisions for sensitive items are agreed with your team before anything is moved.
Objects are condition-reported, handled by trained crews and packed in protective or bespoke cases built to the item, so they cannot move in transit.
Yes. We survey the building, protect its fabric and access routes, and work in phases or out of hours so public and research spaces can stay open where possible.
Yes. Collections can be held in secure archive and collection storage and returned in order when the space is ready.
Yes. Archives, records and library collections are handled through our library relocation service, with shelf order maintained.
