The relocation project entailed moving 285 staff and over 1,500 linear meters of legal files from one location to another over a single weekend (August Bank Holiday). The objectives included ensuring zero downtime, with all IT systems fully operational immediately upon completion, while addressing unexpected shelving issues and sustainably managing redundant furniture.

Approach Used by Ede's

Ede's employed a meticulous and proactive strategy to meet the tight timeline. Pre-move planning involved staff briefings, coordinator assignments, and a phased relocation of documents to streamline the process. IT relocation was handled by experts who decommissioned systems, securely transported them, and reinstalled everything precisely at the new site. Shelving challenges were resolved on-site, and redundant furniture was recycled to ensure sustainability, maintaining efficiency throughout the project.

The relocation was completed successfully, achieving 100% operational status by the first day with no downtime. IT systems were seamlessly restored, with every workstation set up exactly as before. The project was delivered on time and within budget, providing a smooth and cost-effective transition.
