Overview

Ede’s was appointed to support Pachamama with the relocation of a two-level warehouse from 137 Greenwich High Road, London to Thorp Arch Estate, Wetherby. The project involved the large-scale movement of boxed inventory and racking systems, delivered over a tightly managed multi-day schedule. The key priority was clear: complete the relocation efficiently and on time while ensuring safe handling of all goods and infrastructure.

The Challenge

Delivering a long-distance warehouse relocation within a defined timeframe required careful logistics planning and coordination. Key challenges included:

  • Managing the relocation of 2,600 packed boxes and warehouse infrastructure
  • Dismantling and transporting nineteen Mecalux racking units
  • Coordinating multiple vehicle movements between London and Wetherby
  • Ensuring efficient loading and offloading across staggered delivery schedules
  • Maintaining programme timelines across a multi-day operation

Our Approach

Ede’s delivered a structured and phased relocation programme, ensuring smooth execution across all stages.

  • Initial deployment of an 18-ton vehicle to begin phased relocation
  • Use of articulated vehicles to manage high-volume transport efficiently
  • Coordinated loading in London with next-day offloading in Wetherby
  • Deployment of experienced crew including fitters for racking systems
  • Careful handling and transport of boxed goods and specialist equipment
  • Continuous coordination to maintain flow across all five days of the project
